"Very nice owners and clean room. No bugs, no roaches. None. The only bad thing is the pet fee. Staying here a week and they charge $30 a day for two cats. That gets expensive! Our room does not at all smell like cats. My wife got a small mop from the store and mops twice a day to keep everything very clean. We believe it is important to leave a room cleaner than when ypu came. A few other things that were undesirable was some homeless guy running back and fourth on the sidewalk next to the motel...

"This place is suffering from poor management and economic issues. The soda machines were inoperable, depleted housekeeping staff, the continental breakfast was non existent, and their was stereotypical behavior ( dark skinned bigotry). I wouldn't recommend this place, eventhoughy room was clean. I wouldn't recommend this placem I give it a 3/10"

"Great hotel on a nice spot on the Riverwalk."

"We stayed one night at Hotel Gibbs for a graduation dinner and really enjoyed our visit. The location was perfect, especially with my husband working at the Alamo. What stood out most was the historic charm and nostalgic feel of the hotel. From the beautiful marble walls in the hallway to the classic details throughout, it felt like stepping into a piece of San Antonio history. The complimentary wine sample was a nice touch, and our room was very comfortable and relaxing."

"Perfect location! We were walking distance from everywhere that we needed to go (Riverwalk, Alamo, etc). The rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious! We would totally recommend this place!"

"Valet personnel were always so kind and respectful and greeted you with a smile and by your name. The front desk staff always acknowledged you and made you feel welcomed. The hotel was clean and well tended to. Due to my busy conference schedule only got the chance to enjoy breakfast one day but was a great variety of foods offered and do appreciate this. Overall was a great stay and a big thank you for all who made this possible. "

"Good location. And the staff was fine. Rooms are very dated, toilet was stained, carpet was stained, TV was tiny and difficult to stream. The staff was fine, but we paid a couple hundred dollars for a night here and it was extremely disappointing for that price. It's fine for a lower-budget hotel, but it wasn't low budget."

"Great stay staff were fantastic helped with a late checkout...couple of issues they don't provide full housekeeping just replace things and for the 4 days we were there dirty glasses in the hallway that were never picked up . I understand it's a super old building but it's a shame you can't open the windows"

"It was a decent place for a one night stay. Nice looking, 10 minute walk to Riverwalk, parking lot right next to it. A couple things I didn’t like: -King with “Sofa bed” was not a sofa bed, more like a foldable chair that was very uncomfortable for my son. -The bathroom sink was very slow to drain"
