"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. So many handmade items included in your stay and available to purchase. The host is amazing, super friendly and laid back. The grounds were beautiful, unique and has so much character. Vila Gale Douro Vineyards Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The property is stunning!!! The views are indescribable - you have to see for yourself to really experience. Traveled with group of 6 - late 50s, early 60s (good physical shape overall)....I will say that there are TONS of steps to get anywhere and if you are unable to do a lot of steps (I mean TONS) - this is not the property for you. If you are able to do steps you have to see this place! One thing that I'll remember is Eduardo helping us check in saying "this is your home for your stay.....treat it as such and enjoy all that the property offers"......The snack bar is meh. The breakfast buffet more than satisfying...."

Foz Côa Story House

"Unfortunately there had been a storm and the hotel was without a restaurant or bar, and in recovery mode. However, the receptionist was very helpful. The hotel itself is a stunner."

Quinta da Moita Agroturismo

"Super endroit, très bien entretenue, et un accueil formidable, je recommande fortement"

Quinta de la Rosa

"This is a fantastic boutique hotel. Our room faced the river and the whole setting is awesome. We loved it"

Hotel Rural Quinta do Silval

10/10 Excellent

"This was a beautiful Winery to stay. If you need a great place to relax and unwind after a busy travel experience, this is your place. The restaurant was wonderful but getting a glass of wine and sitting out by the pool looking over the duoro Valley was the best. The owners are very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend."

Hotel Folgosa Douro

10/10 Excellent

"Great place to stay, staff is helpful, breakfast is good"

Hotel Mira Serra

8/10 Good

"This was a great choice for a stop-over on our travels from the ferry in Santander to our destination, near Obidos in Western Portugal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and perfect for our stay, as well as being dog-friendly. The park opposite provided a convenient dog walking area. The evening set meal was served in the bar area, rather than the restaurant, which was fine. The food was good, and excellent value, and the house wine was delightful. In all, this was a perfect choice and we shall use this hotel on our return journeys."
