"We stayed in unit ten of the Drift in Cocoa Beach and didn’t really know what to expect. There was parking in front of the complex. The Drift was a quiet complex that was a short walk to the beach. "This was definitely a budget stay. The property seems pretty old and rundown, and that carried into the room. The not so good: the smell of cigarettes was immediately noticeable when walking in, the floor had clearly not been swept as part of cleaning the room, the sheets on one of the beds were stained, all of the lighting fixtures and the microwave were quite rusted, and there was no security latch present on the door. The okay: the AC worked, outlets worked, and the curtains could be drawn...

Upon entering the room however we were disappointed. The room was smaller than expected but doable. But the smell and overall cleanliness of the room was horrid. "This place is awesome! It's clean and very comfortable. It's just like being at home, there was plenty of room and it has everything you need. The beach is just a short walk and beach access was very easy. The staff is exceptionally nice and very polite. We had an issue upon check-in and the maintenence man took care of it right away! The staff was accommodating, due to a group staying for a sporting event, there were many young players around the common area. My room was on the first floor so I asked to be moved to a room further away. I was changed to 3rd floor and had a great night’s sleep. Woke up to a nice breakfast and got on the road. It was a lovely and comfortable stay."
