"This place was awesome and amazing and the views wow. Everything was perfect and the managers always replied when they saw my message within reason time. I definitely recommend it. I also definitely RECOMMEND A CAR. I made the mistake in climbing the hill with my luggage’s lol had to rent a car the following day lol. "

"Beautiful beautiful home! Located 6 minutes away from the center of menaggio. There’s accessible parking & the property is very secured. There are other home owners in the residence, however, we felt like we were alone. The property managers are quick to respond via WhatsApp if you have any questions or can’t figure something out."

"We had a fantastic stay- great spacious setup and wonderful location. They were great on communication prior to trip letting us know some construction work would be happening around the building, so we really appreciated the prior heads up and they even offered to switch us elsewhere, but so glad we opted to stay here regardless. We would highly recommend this space!"

"The view was amazing and the people were nice. The ticket counter people were helpful but the apartment was awful. The keys to the apartment worked but the remote to open the gate didnt. There was cat hair everywhere. The pillows were stained and there was noises from construction when we checked in. The balcony was dirty and unkempt. Would not stay there again."

"Excellent view of Lake Como. The apartment was spacious and had almost everything we needed. It's located north of Menaggio. We had a car so it was easy to get into town. Without a car, riding the bus in would be inconvenient, at least for us. Wi-fi didn't work and neither did the TV. "

"Just a good overall value stay, it's quite a far walk to the waterfront and town, not too bad walking downhill but walking uphill all the way back in teh summer months isn't ideal if you're wearing dinner wear. Decent views, rooms are dated and smallish, breakfast and staff are great though, there is a pool which is great and the onsite parking is a bonus as well. I'd stay again but if you want a true Lake Como experience you will want to splurge and get a waterfront property"

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."

"Pleasant staff and the hotel and rooms felt quite traditional and nice. Great and large balcony for our ground floor room with incredible views. Nice little pool and great buffet breakfast. If you are coming from the ferry, access is 20 mins walk via steep cobbled streets which was challenging and we (I) had to carry our suitcases as the wheels were in danger of coming off! Decent parking by the look of it but consider a cab if you’re on foot. Over all a very pleasant stay."
