"When we checked in and requested an upper level room for security purposes (we preferred not to have 2 separate entrances into the room), we were rudely told that the hotel was full but found out by checking Expedia at the same time that there was availability at the hotel. We were then told about the no smoking and no vaping rule. However, upon entering our outdated and somewhat raggedy room, the smell of cigarette smoke filled the air. "This place is very run down for its age. Odd and poorly executed repairs, like a standard hollow core bathroom door from Home Depot, unpainted and a butchered installation where it barely opens and closes. Had to be escourted to the room because “the key machine wasn’t working.” Walked into the room with a deodorizing bomb still on the floor. I should have asked for another room but I arrived at 1:45am and just needed sleep."
