"A sweet, hidden gem right across the street from The Alamo, two blocks from the Riverwalk, and very close to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, all within a very reasonable price. Fantastic complimentary breakfast with foods prepped on site, nice wine bar, valet parking, with self outdoor parking next door. Parking garages nearby, too. The hotel building itself is historic. They have done a nice job of keeping building history, but the rooms were nicely upgraded, clean, comfortable beds, workout room, nice staff at checkin, conveniently located to many things. We really enjoyed our stay & will return. "

"I stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk from March 24–27, 2026, and it was a great experience. The location is perfect—right by the River Walk, with easy access to restaurants and everything downtown has to offer. It’s also adjacent to the River Rock area, which made exploring super convenient. One of the biggest reasons we chose this hotel was how close it is to Lackland Air Force Base—only about a 15-minute drive, which was ideal for attending events there. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was welcoming. Overall, you really can’t go wrong staying here if you want a central location near the River Walk and quick access to Lackland. ⭐ Highly recommend! "

"Nice location, friendly staff, room was okay but not as clean as I am used to from previous stays there. Had to wait an hour past Check-in time for room to be ready- not worth the almost $500 we paid for one night stay (with valet parking). "

"The hotel is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated at both the river walk and reasonable walking distance from the convention center. There is a french bakery across the street, the hotel has decent restaurants, and there are great places to eat and steakhouses nearby. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the first I was supposed to get there, the hotel was overbooked and I had to spend the night in a very shady motel they booked for me. Otherwise, had a fantastic stay."

"This hotel enjoys an ideal location. The Historic Market, Riverwalk, La Villita and the San Fernando Cathedral are all an easy walk. The hotel itself would benefit from a facelift. It feels tired and dated. Ancient carpeting, bathrooms that haven’t been updated in decades and a brown/beige color palate. Yuck. However, the staff are pleasant and the breakfasts are adequate. In brief, a disappointing experience at over $300 a night!!! Hugely overpriced. "
