The hotel’s location is excellent; however, the property is poorly maintained. The cleanliness was very, very bad. Even the bathroom ceiling was dirty, who knows with what and the sink was full of grime. It did not feel like a clean place at all. The hotel clearly needs renovations, proper maintenance, and a much higher standard of cleaning

Before booking this hotel, I read every single review and watched some videos online. I chose it because of its fantastic location and the price (not all hotels offer rooms for four people). We arrived knowing it wouldn't be a 4 or 5-star hotel. It's true that the rooms need some maintenance, specifically the bathrooms, but otherwise, everything was quite clean. The beds were quite comfortable, and the outside noise never bothered us (we were on the 9th floor). The best things were the location (as I mentioned before) and the friendly service. It's not a hotel to spend the whole day in; it's just for sleeping. But overall, our stay was pleasant.

The staff are wonderful. San Marino is what I would call a no frills hotel. It is very old and in need of a full renovation, but it nonetheless has all the basics needed by budget conscious tourists or business people. They are slowly making upgrades, notably the elevators which have just been completed. I have been coming here for years and prefer San Marino over other similarly priced hotels.

Rundown Hotel but with Excellent Service

Very central hotel, great price for the area. It's just very very old and outdated on the inside, to the point that the rooms can't be properly cleaned because of it. ie: torn and stained carpets, scratched and broken door frames, water stained tile in the bathroom, missing sink topper, leaking shower, scratched and stained tables/wood features. It is very run-down. Besides the condition of the room - the service, location and price were great.
