"We stayed in the first floor suite with the private bathroom and it was great. The building was built in 1910 so it’s like living in a small apartment in Chelsea a block from Penn Station. It is quiet, clean and has the basic amenities you’ll need. I would suggest bringing extra pillows or towels (we bought some at Macy’s) but the bed was comfortable. A real New York experience for a great value. We would definitely stay again and recommend to travellers who are looking for a good deal to be in...

"If you are looking for a charming, interesting, and perhaps odd hotel, this is a great place. We were on a college trip, and I didn't want a standard, cookie-cutter hotel room. I knew a bit about the Oneida utopian community, and I assumed this was a converted mansion and would feel like a hotel or B&B, but this is a combination museum/apartment complex with a few hotel rooms. "They have truly thought of everything at the Yellow Barn Estate. Heaven is in the details. Spacious room; soft towels; plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion; kitchen in which everything you might need is available; heartwarming shared spaces. This will be my top choice going forward for stays in the Ithaca area."
