The bartender checked us in, which was fine, but a bit odd. When we checked out the next morning the downstairs restaurant was closed and locked, so there was nowhere to check out. We ended up leaving the physical key in our room and hoped for the best. Going forward, the hotel should alert guests to the lack of check out, to aleviate...

"Our stay at Moore House Inn was great! The family that runs the Inn is nothing short of amazing. They were so welcoming and although we had car issues during our stay the couple did everything they could to ensure we still enjoyed our visit! The inn was comfy and welcoming! The breakfast was good with lots of choices. We enjoyed sitting on the swing and listening to the birds and the creek and the little town of Marlinton is so welcoming. We met so many amazing people! "The property is ok for spending one night. It is quite noisy if all rooms are booked as the opening and closing of doors is always accompanied by electronic noise and the walls are really thin. "

"This is a beautiful property with interesting history. The room was comfortable. The innkeepers are very gracious and helpful. While not located in the heart of the historic district, it’s a short walk away. Quite honestly, it’s better than being in the heart anyway - more quiet and easier parking. There is a fantastic bar just behind the house, and Snallygasters (best restaurant in town) is next door. "
