"This is a whole house rental in a small estate. The house has parking outside could probably fit two cars. The area was incredibly quiet and it has a small enclosed garden. Inside there are two bedrooms, a double and twin, a bath with shower above and separate toilet. Downstairs, kitchen lounge dining room and there is absolutely everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. "Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."

"Excellent venue with lots of parking. Very clean and spacious. This was a last minute booking and communication was poor. You don't get access instructions until you pay a waiver that costs either an additional £10 or £25 depending on what you choose. And then you have to chase to get it back. Sounds a bit of a con to me but I had no choice. Overall though the property was excellent, just let down by a poor letting agent in my opinion."

"A beautifully appointed house, which was cosy and inviting. The accommodation served my purpose being conveniently located to explore the Yorkshire Coast from Flamborough Head to Redcar. I can fully recommend staying here, and there was easy communication with the owners - Anthony and Jane. There was a lovely welcoming array of goodies on the dining table, which was very thoughtful! "

"I found the place not so clean. From the dishes and cuttlery to the sheets and towels. Very disappointed. One bed's leg broken. They attended to fix the bed's leg but the dirty linnens on pillows and sheets were not changed. Blood patches and long body hairs on the bedsheet where children were sleeping. "

"What can we say. Entrance mat filthy. Cobwebs everywhere. Dirty handprint on the bathroom wall. Shower riser rusty, shower tiles mouldy. Didn't look like anywhere had been swept or vacuumed. Lack of somewhere to put drinks in the lounge. If there is more than 2 of you you will struggle to sit and eat or sit in the lounge together. Toilet seat very loose, dangerous. Neighbours Alexa plays music all night and alarms start going off from 5am. Management company say sorry but do nothing about it....

"Had a great stay, accommodation was excellent in every way Accommodation very close to the town centre so easy access to pubs and restaurants Train station 50 yards away First visit Salburn, loverly small town, will definitely return and use this accommodation if available "
