"We stayed in one of the new looking units for two nights. Outside was cold, windy and raining. In the unit it was toasty warm with a great gas fireplace. Easy parking. Unit ED9 was a great place to stay. A couple of things to know: There is no WiFi in the unit but the cell signal was strong. The water in the faucets is not drinkable without first boiling. I wish I knew that before arriving as I would have bought more drinking water. There is not much in the way of groceries around so bring...

"We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. "Basic things that were neglected or done poorly 1) no pre check in email was received resulting in us being stuck outside the property as we were not informed of the access code to gain entry into the property. Imagine being caught in a situation when you had 4 cars backed up behind you and you couldn’t get in - enough said 2) no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows can’t be open. Rooms are hot, stuffy and poorly ventilated- would have been helpful to have that piece on information on...
