"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The setting of the hotel itself, and it's history was a experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. "Clean room however in a poor state of disrepair. Bed was uncomfortable and twin mattress with two different firmness. Lights didn't work in the room and poor lighting overall. Not great and in need of a lot of updating."

"We stayed for one night to break a journey, very friendly staff food in bar very good. Rooms very dated and furniture old but it was acceptable, very quite location good nights sleep. Windows in the bed room opened lovely and wide so loads of fresh air on a hot night. Wonderful view of the Wallace ..."
