"Very eclectic; the owner takes care of this hostel as he is there everyday with his family and pets. It's your basic hostel- bring your amenities especially insect repellant. Water pressure can be erratic at times, but this is island living so its expected. Great food and great staff. Service can be really slow- avoid if it looks busy. "

"The worst DIVE ever. Upon walking in to the area, it was completely nasty. Was offered a room without air conditioning. Are you serious in the Philippines!. "Charlie’s El Nido was an absolute gem. It’s not on the water but it is only a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach and very close to the airport. The pool was crisp, the facility was well maintained and the rooms were great. We did have a suite but still, what we had was quite nice. Especially compared to some other properties around the area. My extended Filipino family also loved their breakfast stating it was very good. They offered a variety of Filipino classics along with pancakes and eggs for a more westernized (American) breakfast. We will definitely consider Charlie’s again for a return visit."
