"We loved the staff and hospitality at Momijiya. My husband said it felt like we were staying at our grandma's house. We loved the ryokan experience as well. We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. "This was an awesome semi traditional ryokan experience. I will drop me style room was exactly what we were looking for to break up other more western hotels stays. We booked breakfast but not dinner as we wanted to explore the local areas as well. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast and as I asked in advance for a vegetarian version they accommodated extremely well and we thoroughly enjoyed a hearty breakfast. The Japanese hospitality of the staff, traditional breakfast every morning (server to your room), your beds made daily and sleeping on the mattresses on tatami flooring and public bath are good experience.
