"While the location was convenient, there are other nearby hotels that are better for the money. We arrived and were placed on the second floor. They told me, it was quicker to access the stairs to get to the room and so I did. I get to the room (which was supposed to be a larger room) and both of my keys flash red and I hear a tv on inside of the room. I go back down and tell them all of this…they reassign the keys. I go back up, same thing except this time the tv isn’t as loud and we hear people. I go back down and they ask if I want to be assigned to 1st floor room which I agree to. Get in this tiny room…only 2 towels (4 people) and oddly when I go back to the front to get more towels they were never there. Woke up the next morning to someone playing basketball in the room above us at 7 am. Kids screaming and crying and running. Killed a small roach. The floor had not been cleaned/mopped prior to our arrival. The lighting was awful to see anything…had to go and purchase a lamp just to be able to see and also purchase towels. I’d say…if you’re wanting a better experience for the same amount of money…stay at the Econolodge. Just be sure to bring extra towels and headphones. There was no kitchen in this particular room. Also, lots of people hanging out in the parking lot/tailgating. It was peculiar but maybe it was due to the Seafood Festival at the coliseum."
