The building has been renovated and decorated in perfect keeping with its historic architectural style whilst adding modern comfortable features. "The guest house is very centrally located in the Ribeira area and the room was spacious, lean and the bed was comfortable. The price was a steal. The staff were very nice to deal with and breakfast was delicious. Excellent coffee. My room was on the third floor and there was no lift so got a bit of exercise in as well. I knew this was the case when I booked so was prepared for it. Because it is central and on a busy street, it is noisy but I felt the location more than made up for that. "
