"Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes"

"The location is fairly far from the city but has easy access to transit to get you anywhere. The hotel also has a shuttle service free for Hyatt members. It takes you to the airport. There is a fee without the membership. There are no microwaves in the rooms but there is one in the lobby. It wasn’t working the last few days we stayed but things like that happen. No biggie. They also have a water tap in the lobby which can save you a fortune on water. Some of the staff could do better at...

"It was a one night stay between our flights. Our room was fine, however, a couple of things stand out that could be improved. The first being the shuttle service, it was confusing as to which IBIS hotel we were disembarking at. No announcement was made. There was a lot of confusion surrounding that. Also as a safety concern there was a child, about 7 years old that was climbing the baggage rack, and swinging from the hand straps AS we were driving. The parents seemed unconcerned, and the...

"Always a great hotel and my first pick whenever I go to the Netherlands. On this trip I had 4 separate stays at this hotel. My platinum status was acknowledged 3 times and I was upgraded twice. At my 2nd stay the lady at the front desk apparently did not know free upgrade was a thing for Expedia platinum members. As it was only a one night stay I thought it not worth the hassle. "The hotel offers a large parking lot with free parking. This was a huge plus! Very convenient. The room was rather spacious and especially the bathroom amenities were exceptionally good. It smells rather musty when you enter the room for the first time, but it’s no surprise due to the age of the building. Sound-proofing of the building could be better. But generally, the hotel is well-maintained and offers a high standard."

"Das Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre hat eine gute Lage und eignet sich gut für einen Städtetrip. Das Zimmer mit Aussicht lohnt sich allerdings eher in den oberen Etagen, da man weiter unten teilweise auf das Dach des Nebengebäudes schaut. Leider war das Badezimmer nicht ganz sauber und der abgenutzte Toilettensitz hinterließ keinen hochwertigen Eindruck."
