"I don't give five stars just because most places can do better. But, I will say this: this property, for what it is, is really nice. It is an older property with smaller rooms. But they have maintained the feel of the property with its history, but have also updated to keep it current and clean. Showers were hot. rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was probably in the top 5 I have ever had at a hotel. Location, as far as I am concerned, was fantastic. This is not a five star hotel. But for the actual hotel rating, I would give it a 4 1/2 in its rating category and would definitely stay here again. We had one issue-first night the air conditioner began making loud clanging noises. We asked that it be looked at while we were out that day. We came back that evening and it had not been looked at. Did we throw a fit? no. We simply used the loud air conditioner until it cooled off in the room and then we turned it up and was able to sleep fine. I asked them the next morning to take care of the situation since it had not been addressed and, when we returned later that evening, cool air was coming from a quiet air conditioner. All was well. We would, and will, stay here again if opportunity allows."
