"Talbot house was a rest home for allied military members in WW 1. History lives here. Extensive walled gardens with large trees, flower beds & walkways. Small museum on site. Mix of volunteers and paid staff look after you. Close to Menin Gate & Canada's Brooding Soldier. Very cool spot to have stayed at and Poperinge is a lovely town. "

"Hotel de la Paix is a wonderful property, each of our rooms had some outdoor space and were brilliantly designed. Right in the center of town and the staff/family is very accommodating. If you are visiting Poperinge (and you should) this is the place to stay."

This charming house is so much better and the welcome from the charming Marie-Odile was lovely. "A lovely place to stay just two minutes walk from the square which is we’re all the shops and restaurants and bars are the room was lovely and clean bed are really clean and comfortable 10 minutes drive to lpres were we wanted to go to the menen gate and war graveyard and museums all in all a great place "

"So peaceful and great countryside. Spotlessly clean, Shower is hot and plenty of water. Loved the setting in a rural farming community. Wonderful polite People there. It's a must stay if you are working near by or out for day trips. Everything is secure in parking and rooms. I loved this place. My only disapointment was I cound't take the three friendly goats home from the front yard. This is a must stay at place.I can't praise it enought. Thank you for a fantastic few days while I put flowers...
