Beautiful location. We came at the end of July, so it was very quiet. We were able to relax. The room was nice. However, the food was not very good. It was hit or miss, with it mostly being disappointing with very little flavor. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff seemed to hate their jobs for the most part. Regardless of tip, or us trying to smile or be very friendly, most of the female staffers would not even return a smile and acted as if we were very stupid people who were bothering them. It generally just made you feel uncomfortable. I understand not enjoying a job, disliking tourists/Americans/white people, but as someone who worked in the service industry in the USA for many years of my life, I'm used to at least pretending to be kind or professional until the interaction was over. An exception was the amazing Amanda, who was genuinely friendly, helpful and kind. She deserves a HUGE raise and promotion. Overall, the property was beautiful, though. WiFi signal was very strong. Drinks were good.
