I liked the staff. I really feel that they did their best with what they had to work with. Cleaning was very lacking in many areas and many aspects. I always associated Marriott with exemplary service and accommodations but this location has completely changed my mind. I never give a review if my opinion is negative, but as a frequent traveler, I feel that my opinion is fair and optimistic.

This was an extremely run down Marriott property. I rented 2 rooms, one room AC did not work and it was about 8- degrees in the room. Both were dirty and outdated. We used the gym on site, and it was fine. I would not recommend this property.

The location was great for my travel. However, my room was not clean at all while I was there. I had to put the trash outside of the door for it to be picked up. Someone did come in on Thursday to get the towels out the bathroom that I used, but my bed wasn't made up not one day I was there.

When I walked in the young lady was very friendly and was very welcoming. I hate I didn’t get her name. The room was very nice and clean and the atmosphere was great. Only thing that was that the phone wasn’t working. But overall I enjoyed my time there. I will definitely book again!!

Hotels.com messed up and gave us a double room and there were none. Manager and check in clerk was very nice and gave us two rooms for no extra charge. Hotel itself needs a major redo. Nasty, moldy smelling.

The hotel staff were amazing! Excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the hotel needs upgrades. Credit card machines did not work. Burns in the room carpet. Black mold stains under the sink. Will not stay again.

Carpet was filthy throughout- especially the halls. Very disgusting. Carpets in rooms were mildly better but had to wear shoes even in the rooms. Beds were very comfortable and showers had great water pressure and the water was nice and hot.

Room had been lived in (not cleaned) and missing a refrigerator. I will say the staff graciously moved us to another room promptly and with much courtesy. There was no complimentary breakfast and no creamer for the in room coffee.

My wife and I always stay at the Courtyard when we visit Montgomery, which is many many time per year. This recent visit made us question continuing using this hotel. This time the room smelled old damp and musty. The shower and the sink drained incredibly slow and the toilet had a light sewage smell coming from it( no one had used it yet). The ac I assume was doing the best it could since we couldn't tell what the setting were and it was very hot and humid on this weekend. We like the proximity of the Courtyard as it is closer the places we're going and our families. My only wish is that maintenance were a bit better, other than it a fine place to stay for a couple days.

The good news is that the bed & amount of covers / selection of pillow weight & fluffiness was good. Otherwise, there needed to be attention to mold on the bathroom at ceiling & wall. Frustration with housekeeping...had been 2 minutes into a hot shower to accomplish Goal #1-washing hair...only to find there to be 2 conditioners on wall (dispensing shampoo container units)...seemed a bit dirty. my guess is I didn't get top choice of rooms, cut w/ tax still at top $. No free coffee in lobby (without buying breakfast); room coffee maker sufficed. The little Bistro bar & food nook was run by a NICE woman who WAS professional and courteous, so the $15 cocktail (add tip) was worth it... Had a small 'walled" area to catch up on news/(TV) and it had comfie divan seating.

We arrived after check in time, the lobby was ok except for it being very hot. The staff had a couple of fans trying to keep cool. We were giving room 206 and my mom went to use the bathroom and the toilet didn’t work. I went down to inform them and they said that someone will be up to look at it, well they never came until I went to them again, at this point it was 11PM and we were so tired and was ready to go to bed. The front desk was so shocked that nobody came to look at the toilet that she gave me another room but that room was used and smelled like marijuana Room 311. I went back to them and told her that the room was used. She was so compassionate that she wanted to make sure that we were comfortable staying there so she accommodated me to Room 319, the manger walk with me to check the room and she noticed it had a bad smell in it but offered me some air freshener. We we’re there for a family member funeral at 11 am that Saturday morning and were was so tired that morning because we had a long drive that were was over it at that point. Because before we arrived there were had a bad experience at the Renaissance in Birmingham downtown because they had bed bugs. So we booked here and still got a very bad experience. I will never stay here again because the carpet in the hallways on each floor are so very nasty and the plumbing is bad because the toilet barely flushed.
