"The hotel was in a good location for our needs…within a mile of shopping and dining. The room was clean and functional. The breakfast had enough choices and was tasty. Parking was convenient and secure."

"The property was clean. Breakfast was the usual found in most places. Room service is every other day. When the room was finally attended to there were waste baskets left that were full. Dirty glasses left in the sink. Our coffee maker did not work and was not replaced until the 3rd day of our 4 day stay. The staff was very helpful. The facility is understaffed. Ice maker is near the elevator on the second floor. Rather inconvenient for first floor occupancy and a somewhat disabled patron. . The shower door drip edge was installed backwards allowing for a wet mess on the floor. (We installed it correctly). All on all, this facility was not worth the $180/night we paid plus taxes."

"If this review was about the staff, it would be 5 stars. About the material condition of the hotel, it would be 1 star. The staff is exceptional, but the hotel has more problems than they can contend with. The location is really good, the bedding is very comfortable, and parking is less expensive than downtown, and relatively safe. The 1st room they gave us had broken air conditioning, with no hope of an easy repair. The 2nd room was a smaller room, with a broken safe, a broken room phone, and a running toilet. The breakfast was really good. Typical hotel rates for a drink in the bar...you know...same cost for 2 shots as for the whole bottle at the ABC store... Would I stay here again? I dunno. Location wise, parking wise, best in town. But all the broken items (plus 2 of the 4 elevators were broken) really lowers your review, and no amount of compensation (and we got plenty of compensation) will completely fill that disparity. If I returned to Norfolk to go to the Scope Center I would probably stay again, but this time, with my eyes wide open..."

"The in-house restaurant, CapoCapo, has terrible table service. The wait staff do not want to be there. The food is decent. The parking garage is scary. The elevator is unreliable; avoid it. Pricing signs are unclear."
