"The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. "The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! "Helpful staff upon arrival and the room was as expected and very clean however the space in the corner could have been occupied by a chair or couch for additional seating otherwise it had what was required of a room in a hotel. We thought the drinks bar in the dining room was rather expensive though & also an extra charge for parking put 30 pounds on the bill for 3 nights. All in all a good stay."
