"Good hotel for the price, next to the train station which was helpful. Inside bar was alright, breakfast was alright as well but a lot of the tables we’re dirty so turn around time on that could improve. Would book again if needed a last minute hotel in Jersey."

"The room was clean the staff didn’t really care about any of the customers, but did their job, minus not offering any cookies while checking in. The cookies were in the warming drawer, but they weren’t offered any customers. The desk attendant had his backpack on. He was ready to head out. He had limited concern about those checking in. He just wanted to end his shift. If I had to, I would stay there again. If I didn’t have to, I would pay more to stay somewhere else."

"We loved that this is an independent hotel and small business. The owner is a local and cares about Montclair. The interior is decorated brilliantly and has a clever motif. For example, the rooms don't have numbers, they have names. Inside each room you will find photos of famous people with that name. "We stay here regularly and really love this hotel. It is especially nice to be remembered on our return. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. With Crystal at breakfast and at the bar it was like meeting an old friend. And Ingrid at breakfast and Nayeli on the front desk were also great. The newly-refurbished bedrooms were extremely stylish. And the restaurant had no problem with my dietary requirements. Easy access to New York. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"Really didn’t like much about this hotel. $30.00 per night to park the car. A terrible dangerous neighborhood next to the dpw of Newark with garbage trucks parked up and down the street. Loud music in adjacent rooms at 3am. And breakfast, there is no breakfast, they had nothing to offer. The hostess made concentrated pineapple juice in a plastic jug, and she had no bread. Not a good place to stay!!!"
