"The unit was adequate for a two night stay. Very convenient for early morning boat trip on Doubtful Sound. Beautiful view of lake. Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit. "

The bathroom was good except the shower had a pull around screen instead of a fixed one and we found that once showering the water went everywhere."

"Don’t be put off by the backpacker property, the Lakeview rooms are terrific, very big with a great view and come with a mini fridge and kettle. The amenities are limited, just hand and body wash, and towels are limited, and no servicing, but for the price, the location is excellent, and the Lakeview rooms are totally separate from the backpacker dorms. "Generally ok place to stay. Has everything you need like all other hotels. Unfortunately the 1 bed apartment are not sound proof. So we had a poor nights sleep with hearing the people above us walking around and playing music until midnight and then car doors closing at 7am. The rooms don’t feel very private either with big glass doors in the bedroom and lounge so you have people walking past and looking in. Also worth noting, no air con "

"The room was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Lost one star mostly for the bathroom. The sink was ridiculously tiny and there was no electrical outlet. They have an odd requirement that you have to verbally tell the staff that you want a cooked breakfast the next morning, however, when we rang the bell to tell them the afternoon before no one answered. We then got involved chatting with another guest, which was very nice, but forgot to try the bell again. We had to leave earlier...

"Motel is well situated for lake view, and fairly priced in comparison to neighbouring properties. Spa bath was a welcome addition for weary muscles. Ammenities adequate with plenty of kitchen utensils. However layout made cooking and dish-washing tricky. No kitchen table indoor or outdoor so had to use coffee table. While spacious, this aging property is overdue for a refresh. While our information sheet said the units were serviced daily, ours was not, even though we displayed the housekeeping...
