devrait être clairement signalé: - si on vient par circumvesuviana, prendre la ligne verte direction poggimarino. - on peut aller à la station pompei scavi par taxi pour 3€ depuis la station pompei ligne rouge. Bon séjour même si l'hôtel est vieux car le service est attentionné. Par contre nous avons dû demander à changer les draps une fois. Le petit déjeuner peut surprendre car il s'agit d'un plateau avec des articles prédéfinis non modifiables

BENISSIMO (ma fate colazione a bar!)

La struttura certamente non è nuova ma pulita, accogliente e in posizione strategica. NB è vicina all'ingresso agli scavi dell'anfiteatro NON a quella principale di porta Marina (da tenere in considerazione in caso di visite guidate, ecc). L'albergo é dotato di Parcheggio che è veramente comodo perché la sosta libera praticamente non esiste. E' stata anche una delle sistemazioni più economiche che ho trovato in centro a Pompei. L'unica cosa che NON ho apprezzato è la COLAZIONE. Nella patria delle sfogliatelle, frolle, ecc una serie di prodotti industriali su un vassoietto di plastica rischiano di intristirti la giornata...!

Rustig fam hotel. Heel simpele kamer. Geen gelegenheid om zelf kopje thee of koffie te zetten. Ontbijt werd geserveerd op een dienblad en iedere ochtend het zelfde en heel summier. Verder heel vriendelijke mensen die je graag uitleg geven over bezichtigingen bv.

GREAT STAFF, GREAT LOCATION

Some area for improvement

We found the front door was locked when we arrived at about 2pm. I don't know why! The reception man was okay, but the female (look like his wife) was no response at all. The room door lock was difficult to open, I ended up asking him for help, same as when we came back after sightseeing. The room was ok. The man was helpful in finding train schedule for us next day. On leaving next day, my wife felt not good because the female host's facial expression telling us she's not willing to talk with us.

El mejor trato

Está bien ubicado, entre las dos estaciones de trenes y El Centro de Pompeya. El hotel es agradable en todos los aspectos, pero el trato que recibimos fue lo mejor: vale por todo la amabilidad y la información requerida.

Toccata e fuga

In quattro abbiamo usufruito di una camera soddisfacente per una sola notte . Non saprei dire riguardo al vitto perché non lo abbiamo provato . Comunque l' equazione qualità/prezzo è buona , per cui do' un 7 come giudizio .

Has secure parking.

If you are driving, then finding a hotel with secure parking is essential. Dump the car and walk from here. Situation is good for access to the ruins though some walking is still required. At 70 years old this was a 15 minute walk for us, nothing compared with getting around the ruins. The hotel is basic, no lounge or bar, and the manageress does not speak much English but she is friendly and we were able to communicate. The breakfast was warm croissant, yogurt, cake and cereal. No English or German diets catered for but it was adequate. The tea was good though the cups were small (Italian coffee cups). A good base to explore from.

Near town and the ruins

Very cold, only the bedroom was heated. It would be a nice place to stay in the spring or fall, we were there in January.

Okay hotel, not great, no English, breakfast joke.

The hotel would be a 2 stars in my opinion because firstly neighbors could look into your room because lock didn't work and balcony curtains were flimsy. Secondly you will find there are not many other people staying in Hotel Astoria so it has a very creepy and eerie feel to it. Thirdly the beds there are too squeaky, the shower is tiny and you can barely fit in it.
