"Dissapointing, unpleasant smell and a dated interior. Good location, but very dated, raw brick interior with an unpleasant smell inside the rooms. Online pictures of the property didn't match the reality. Interior of the rooms and bathroom had a dusty/mouldy smell, not I think from any lack of cleaning but more from the old fit out and build up of dust and damp in the exposed brick mortar and old grout joints between tiling. "no allocated parking and basically had to run down stairs when someone moved their car to get a decent spot. remainder of cars had to park on the road. car park was dimly lit which is scary for an older single female. grey slate stairs to get to upstairs room were also dimly lit and quite dagerous for visually impaired people. panel wall heater would not work and no electric blanket but fortunately i had my own heater in the car"

"Stayed here for two nights with our family of 5 (including our 3 little kids). The pool was fantastic and for most part we were the only ones using it which was great for the kids. The room was nice enough, not incredible but it was big enough for us all and well kept. The food in the restaurant was fine - pretty normal pub food. The kids meals for breakfast were quite small. I would suggest ordering a normal adult meal for any kid over 5. Staff were lovely. The play area for the kids was great....
