"It's definitely a 5 Star property. I'm only taking 1 star off for the amenity hrs. The fitness center opens at 8:30AM and closes at 6PM (last admission at 5PM). If you're a tourist and like to work out as well then forget either the gym or breakfast as the breakfast closes at 10AM. No possibility of working out in the evening either because when you're back from any excursion, it's closed. And BTW, the 2 days I used the gym, there was no air conditioning, no water and no towels. No attendant...
"The view, the view, the view from the private balcony. There is not a better one in the world. This has the feel of a natural, rustic ski lodge and the staff are amazing! Murren is the best place to stay in the Alps."
"We loved the balcony with a view of the mountains. Breakfast every morning was great. The staff were exceptional, making us feel welcome and earnestly wanting us to enjoy our stay. There was a small stash of hiking equipment we were able to borrow from since we couldn’t pack our own hiking poles. The impromptu complimentary wine and cheese tasting where we learned about the Swiss and met other guests from around the world was delightful. Would definitely stay here again!"
"A truly wonderful stay in all regards. The views are stunning. There’s a nice terrace to have coffee/eat on. Shuttle service to the train is fast/efficient/included. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. Lovely common areas to visit, relax, there’s boards games, a library and pool table. Staff is friendly and responsive. All as you’d hope/expect."
