This was our fourth visit to the Utopia, the hotel has a great view of Elia beach with an infinity pool. It is a very relaxing location. The hotel is decorated really well and the beds are comfortable, we got a great nights sleep. The staff are friendly and you have access to the full range of restaurants across the hotels. I would recommend Sishu for the Sushi and Celebrities.

Elia Beach perfection

What a wonderful visit, on the beach in essence with great food, service and accommodations. If you want a great beachside holiday on Mykonos without the insanity of Mykonos, this location on Elia Beach is perfect. We did the half room board stay for 4 nights and truly enjoyed ourselves with wonderful dishes at dinner time. The shuttle into Mykonos old town area, is convenient, requires a small walk into the town, but well done.

Standard rooms were very noisy. You could hear whatever was happening outside all the time, housekeeping carts etc. service was fine although slow at times around the pool. Food was good. And fabulous pool, consisting of a kids pool, large jacuzzi and 2 huge pools, salt water.

The perfect stay

The hotel is stunning, rooms are well appointed and the pool area is beautiful and relaxing. Food of high quality, great choice and so tasty in all restaurants and pool bar. Not close to any shops / cafes / supermarket but handy free shuttle to town all day.

The hotel property and accommodations were beautiful. The breakfast buffet was one of the best, if not THE BEST breakfast buffets I’ve ever seen. The highlight of our experience was the people who worked at the hotel. From the moment we were picked up at the airport by George to the morning greetings at breakfast by Lito, Ali, and Malik, we felt warmly welcomed with kind hospitality. The pool was amazing. Panos, was so creative in making us cocktails we’ve never tried before. He was very kind and we enjoyed conversations with him at the pool bar. The sushi restaurant was on point. Although I never asked, I knew the sushi chef was experienced because the food was perfectly prepared and was delicious. My experience at the Imperial Myconian was one of the greatest in my lifetime and I will never forget the people and the hospitality we received with such generosity.

Pros: room had an awesome view. It was quiet. Staff was friendly and did a great job overall. Property was Beautiful. Cons: room had ants. There was nowhere to hang up a towel. No English television and no way to log into Netflix or any other streaming service. Not enough light for my wife to do her makeup. Shuttle to anywhere runs very infrequently. Couldn’t make full use of the facilities because a wedding party booked them. I would’ve stayed somewhere else had I known I was a second class guest.

We have been coming to Mykonos for 7 years now and been staying at numerous locations and hotels on the island. Myconian Imperial Hotel is undoubtedly the best place we have been so far. We have been staying at Myconian Imperial for 14 nights and we loved every single minute of it. From start to finish our experience was amazing. We hot upgraded to superior room with the private pool and the most beautiful garden with breathtaking sea view. Friendliness of all of the staff is an asset to Myconian Collection and complimentary transfer to and from town was as added bonus. Gym is the most equipped gym we have came across whilst staying at different hotels and buffet breakfast had everything you can wish for. Hotel also have an access to a private section of the Elia beach which in our opinion is the most beautiful beach in Mykonos. We will definitely be back next year.

Almost, but not quite prefect stay

Our 2nd stay in this hotel, and 4th to a Myconian hotel. They are in an excellent location, we love Elia beach, and that’s why we stay there - had a pool room this time - unfortunately there was an issue with the drains, and we had to move, and they upgraded us a ‘suite’ - same size room but v big pool. The hotel is good, but could maybe do better. They’ve opened a new gym and it’s extremely basic for a 5 star hotel - one machine, a few broken ones, no free weights below 8kg. Finally, the eternal problem in September of them selling off rooms to sales conferences - then you get very rowdy people at the beach, and worse still, full on outdoor pool party with concert level music by our room until 1.30am and the following night until 12.30 - no apology or warning letter in our room - I’ll probably book for next year, but they need to decide what’s more important - customers or corporate business. First time ever we didnt eat in any of the hotels, as we always have a car, and I pre book a few restaurants. Bear in mind Elia is isolated and limited places to eat. Overall a relaxing and lovely stay.

We are family of five and shared two rooms. Not ideal for a family stay in the base rooms. Not that big and not a lot of areas to store suitcases etc We loved the main pool area and the dining at the restaurants are pool bar were expectional alone with the buffet b/fast. The front desk staff were excellent in offering advise and booking reservations in Mkonos and the beach clubs.

Booked the Imperial on the recommendation of a friend. First off, the staff are great, they are working very hard. There seems to be a distinct lack of management though. Perhaps it’s because it’s the end of the season but this hotel, now 22 years old, is showing its age. Room - spacious. But that’s about it. Extremely uncomfortable bed - one side is like a 400lb person sat on it for a week. My room had a hot tub. It looks in its last legs. Controls were corroded and dirty. The sun beds were worn and torn. Chambermaid was lovely and kind. Pool - lovely, cold salt water pool. However, safety took a holiday here as the ladder to get in is ridiculous. If you were elderly or handicapped, you would not be able to use it. Sun beds were the best I had in Greece. Simply don’t understand why there aren’t stairs into the pools. Restaurants- just ok. Overpriced for what you get, and they can charge it because there is no where else to eat in Elia. Spa - had a massage on the beach via the hotel and it was wonderful, the massage I had at the spa was just ok. Check in - efficient and good staff as stated. However, look behind the counter. The paint is chipped and peeling and run down. This hotel needs a complete makeover. Won’t stay again.
