The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery
10/10 Excellent
"Right on the river ness. Walking /running path very convenient . Quiet are but not far from pubs and restaurants. Bfast was lovely each day and their dinner good too. No elevators so just be aware. We preferred second floor room to first."
"Very nice and clean hotel with beautiful views of the loch. Did have a hard time reaching the receptionist via landline but once we arrived all was great!"
"Overall the hotel itself was nice with lots of amenities if you're traveling with kids.
However, at the same time the hotel doesn't have a clear niche. While pictures and amenities display it for kids atmosphere within the main hotel is quite different. Lobby/bar area was always over crowded with drinking adults. We even repeatedly had drunk adults knocking on our room door whilst trying to find their own.
Additionally reception was terrible; waited 45 minutes to be checked in as there was only one receptionist & they placed priority on arriving travel buses rather than guest who had been waiting."
"First it is a great location. The hotel could use a facelift but then there’s the historic feel of the place. My room was comfortable and quiet. Disappointed no refrigerator though. Breakfast was not up to par.."
"A standard chain hotel minimally staffed by well-meaning but clearly overworked young people. There are certainly worse / far more expensive places you could stay. At least it's close to the river and the inner city."
"Our had not be cleaned properly from the people previously. The floor had not been hoovered. The window sill and cups were dirty. There were hairs in the tea mugs. There were rubbish at the back of the bedside cabinets and we could write our name in the dust on the bed. Disgusting and not acceptable at the price per room."
