The room was not clean, the beds were made, but had hair and dirt between the sheets on both beds, and one of the beds had what looked like fresh dried blood (not stains, unwashed dirty sheets) smeared in multiple places on the fitted sheets. One of the curtains had what looked like dried blood on the backside of the curtain. The first response was to send someone to change all the bedding, we also asked the linens to all be changed, which they did. The next day we asked what that the first night of the 5 night stay to be deducted from the bill (refunded) as the bill was paid in full upon arrival. The manager on duty said this wasn’t possible as the reservation was made through Expedia. After, multiple conversations in the evening of the second day, the manager finally acquiesced to refund the first night stay. They did provide a complimentary treat basket and offer to move us to a superior suite on a higher floor. We declined as we were staying on the same floor as other guests we were travelling with. The 3 stars is because all of this should have been offered without a fight and multiple times talking to the management. Had the error been remedied or tried to make it right without humility and ease they would have earned higher rating.
