"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary fruit basket, and to our surprise, we also received a complimentary room upgrade from a Deluxe Room to a Super Deluxe Room. The room was beautiful, spacious, very comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay even more relaxing. The resort staff paid great attention to our special request and arranged a traditional cultural dance and singing program for us. It was an amazing experience—we even got the chance to wear traditional cultural attire and dance along, which made the evening truly special and unforgettable. The property is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and create meaningful memories in Chitwan. Every detail, from service to ambiance, was thoughtfully handled. We created beautiful memories at this resort, and we will definitely revisit River Bank Jungle Resort on our next trip to Chitwan.
