National Museum of the Middle Ages - Cluny Thermal Baths and Mansion

The sides of the apse in the Abbot's Chapel (Cluny Museum, Paris) are decorated with two mural paintings dating from the mid-sixteenth century (estimate) and produced in Italy. They depict the Virgin Mary's two half-sisters or sisters-in-law (depending on source), Mary Cleophas and Mary Salome, grieving over the death of Christ. Unfortunately, none of my museum books or other sources identifies which is which. I photographed the left Mary due to the sun's rays. If you know which Mary this is, please comment.

Central pillar and part of the ceiling of the Abbot's Chapel in the Musée de Cluny. The chapel is the best preserved room in the 15th century medieval townhouse that is the museum. The architectural style is called Flamboyant Gothic. #instone
I like the delicate stone filigree in the handrail
The museum houses a decent collection of glass from Sainte-Chapelle. The glass was removed during 19th-century renovations and never returned. The scene pictured here is Salome with the head of John the Baptist.
