"From the moment we got there we were greeted by Sylvain and we felt at home. The cottage was adorable and the space was ample for my husband and I. When we needed anything the response was quick. The area was lively and had just enough of a mix of quiet. There was a grocery store around the corner so that was very convenient. We will definitely be coming back!!"

"This is a complete unmanned/self-service hotel. If you don't have enough strength and persistence to walk up ~40 stairs with 20 kg luggage, don't choose this. Another impressive thing is that the stove top was packed in a box and placed on the top of the microwave (close to the ceiling). So, the only way of cooking in the room is by using microwave, in the perfect-looking kitchen! I understand that cooking with stove top may cause cleaning difficulties, but a great accommodation is not evaluated...

"It’s not the Marriott but that’s not we wanted. Family owned very attentive service. Awesome location on St Denis with tons of restaurants and things to do out the door. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there."

"Auberge de la Fontaine is in a great location to explore the city, close to the lovely park, restaurants, shops, transit. Our stay there was pleasant. Our room had a fridge which was great. But it didn't have a coffee maker or kettle for tea, which I didn't expect. There is free coffee in the morning and water at reception."

"Stayed here for one night however this hotel will now become our main stay anytime we travel to Montreal. Staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help. Room is clean and spacious, and the terrace is an excellent bonus. The tub and shower were amazing. Bed at first is stiff, however it does get better as your body gets used to it. Food and drinks in the room is a nice touch. Only “knock” is I do wish there were more surfaces in the bathroom near the since to put items. Staff again is...

"The family that runs this guesthouse is so lovely and helpful!! The room and the house are cozy and comfortable and they have a VERY cute dog. Check in and out were easy and there's parking available. I'd stay here the next time I'm in Montreal!"

"The positioning of the 747 bus stop in the front of the property was a good decision. The constant arrival and departure of buses were well appreciated. I was thankful for having access to the room as soon as I arrived after a long and delayed flight. The removal of the soap dispenser i am not sure if it was an economic decision. The provision of tea will be great since not everyone drinks coffee as the token available in the room."

"Location was good many places were walking distance. The lobby has a hot & cold water dispenser and great coffee machine- we really appreciated that! The breakfast every morning was wonderful, eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc... it was so nice to sit down, relax and enjoy breakfast & coffee before venturing out. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again."

"The room was clean and the AC worked well. We were very comfortable. The neighborhood did not have a ton of nearby restaurants but very close to the bus and metro."

"The place was fairly clean, and the bed was comfortable. I also liked that it felt more like an apartment than a typical hotel room, which made the stay feel spacious and homey. The main downside was the AC it didn’t work very well, and I would sometimes wake up sweating during the night. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the air conditioning could definitely use some improvement."

"It's the bare minimum expectations of a hotel. Clean bed clean shower, but everything else was pretty hit."

"The room was clean but did carry a strong bleach smell. Parking is VERY limited, and you can definitely not park if your car is large. Otherwise, a good stay! Staff were very nice!"
