"This is a ski resort, but we were there in June. Nice rooms, excellent restaurant and very easy parking! Not much around the hotel itself, but it had a lot of activities. Pretty much halfway between Bergen and Oslo if you are driving. "
"We loved this hotel. Looking at the antiques and old photos was really fun. The beds were very comfortable and the room really clean. The hotel staff was helpful when asked about hiking or any other questions we had. The breakfast buffet was huge and really good. We were in Geilo during their shoulder season before summer with few restaurants open, so we had both nights dinners in their restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel!

2/5 Poor
Too big for its facilities and service
"Waaay too big for the facilities and services it offers. Has only two restaurants to cater the entire huge hotel so be prepared to wait. Gym/spa is packed and the lockers thus often quite dirty. The room service does not exist and you have to ask for towels explicitly which is odd for a spa. Equally odd is that there are no bathrobes or slippers offered. The service people are kind but very very young and inexperienced - usually just standing still. The "better spa" costs extra - the public pool is full of kids. Oh the kids - this place is filled with kids running and screaming - filled I tell you!
It has literally everything you need, even if in poor quality, so it is good for families. Not for couples.
The slopes are good though! It's easy to get around although the lifts can get crowded."
