"The room was very clean and nicely kept. I have to give a special shout out to the front desk clerks, they were both amazing. Everyone was very helpful. I needed a staycation and this was a perfect fit. I had a 1 bedroom suite which had a pull out couch, fridge, microwave, beautifully stocked bathroom etc. very comfortable and peaceful. "
"I stayed at the Hampton Inn because it was advertised as the closest airport to EWR. It is as the crow flies but not as the car drives. It is about a 15 minute drive. There is a 24 hour airport shuttle, which was another reason I chose this hotel, however, it drops you off at the Air Train and not at a terminal. As an older traveler, I could not handle the Air Train with my bags so I took an Uber. For this reason, I would not stay here again, but I would choose a hotel where the shuttle drops you off at a terminal. The hotel is also quite noisy as it faces a freeway on ramp as cars are accelerating all night up the ramp. The rooms themselves are lovely. Best designed hotel room I have ever seen, very dark, wall thermostat instead of controls on the window unit, great bedding, compartmentalized bathroom with the sink outside the bathroom, lots of hooks to hang your stuff and STREAMING ON THE TV so you can use your Netflix! all hotels should have streaming. Also since I left at 5am in the morning, I very much appreciated the grab and go breakfast of a bagel with peanut butter, cream cheese and jam plus a piece of fruit plus a bottle of water. Mostly two thumbs up for this excellent hotel. Except for the shuttle dropping you off at the Air Train, I would stay there again."
"We had to book at the last minute and the hotel met all of our expectations. We usually stay in New Jersey, but this was much more convenient for us."
"Pros:
- room was large and spacious
- breakfast was varied and hot
- gym had plenty of equipment, towels, and wipes
- peloton bike available!
- free coffee and hot water available 24/7!
- breakfast hours were extensive!
- free HBO max on the tv's without requiring a subscription! this blew my mind.
Cons:
- pool was closed for maintenance but front desk staff seemed extremely unclear on when it would actually open. only after asking multiple times were we able to get an answer and use it. the pool was also not heated sufficiently
- peloton bike is broken; pedals need maintenance and you cannot adjust the seat forwards/backwards
- elevator was broken and emitted a very loud non-stop beeping noise that took at least 2 hours to resolve
overall, a good stay! "
