"This was our largest and nicest room in England. The outside of the hotel needed some painting and upkeep. (Fighting against the Seagulls) Great views, location, had a decent restaurant in hotel and several more along the Quayside walk in front of the hotel next to the river. We enjoyed this location. It was near the train station and Castle. Had laundry service, but it was a bit pricey."

"I love this hotel but on this occasion I have been left very disappointed with the facilities as a resident at !0 30 pm I would expect to be able to enjoy a drink in the bar before going to bed but at 10 25 when I got to the bar it was closed not only my self but five fellow residents were also gutted that bar was closed thankfully the Comet a few doors away was still open for our patronage. Once in my room I found that the TV had no signal how basic a failure is this I regret not using the...

"Almost everything about this hotel is first rate. Lovely exterior, welcoming staff, very clean, well appointed room, superb breakfast. Unfortunately on this occasion I did not sleep well, I didn’t seem to be able to control the temperature of the room adequately…it was too hot which impacted on my quality of sleep. I really like this hotel - I have stayed a number of times- and this was probably a one-off, it will not prevent me from staying again."
