"The good:
The waterpark is great for younger kids and our 4-year-olds had a great time.
The room was nicer than pictured, with the bunk bed area being truly separate from the double beds, and it was clean.
We were able to check in early and check out slightly late.
The bad:
The whole area with the arcade/towel service/gift shop/restaurant (which you have to go through to reach the water park) seemed designed to test my patience. The staff were typically only present at one or two places, and we had to go looking for them to get service at another station. The space was outdated, and I estimate that 1/3 of the games were broken (no signs indicating such). Most of the games took tokens but some took loonies or toonies, which was confusing.
The food at the cafe was bad and VERY expensive. No outside food or drink is allowed. I'm talking 11.50 for a SMALL cup of ice cream expensive. $20 for 6 chicken wings. The staff was slow and didn't really seem to know what was going on.
The scary:
Security. You don't need a key card to enter the building, by the way. I somehow lost my room card at the arcade, and a man seemed to follow me back to my room. I had the card reset and got a new one at the front desk. The front desk seemed concerned and said they'd review security footage, but I never heard back. Someone knocked on my door in the middle of the night, and again, staff promised they'd review security footage, but no one reached out. I was disappointed."
