Lovely hotel close to the beach and the city centre with shops and restaurants. Clean and comfy room with a comfortable bed and a nice good working shower. Good and tasty breakfast, but the best thing about this hotel is the wonderful manager Gilles and his sweet dog Marius.

My teenage daughter and I loved our short trip to Nice. Everyone there was so friendly. The guesthouse is located on the ground floor of a beautiful building only a few minutes walk from the promenade, beach, supermarket and tram stop (going to airport and into town). Train station is a 10 min walk away and we spend a sunny day at Antibes, a little gem of a town with sandy beach. We slept fantastic, traffic was hardly noticeable. Rooms are compact, have air con, and kitchen area including microwave and fridge. Ask the owner for any recommendations or excursions. Thank you, Gilles, for all your help, we had such a lovely time. Oh, and try the Sarti Spritz - our new favourite summer drink!

Gilles was an excellent host. Very helpful and a very comfortable stay. The hotel is conveniently located for those taking the train, and when we left for the airport the tram is across the street. Lovely neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and a short four block walk to the Promenade.

Loved our stay here in at Hotel Victor Hugo in Nice! The employees are beyond friendly and give tips on what to do/see in the area. It’s so close to the promenade (and the beaches) and even closer to a tram station (super easy if going/coming from airport). Rooms were clean and the area in general feels super safe. Totally recommend this hotel!

Staying at Hotel Victor Hugo was such a pleasure! Gilles and his doggy Marius were such amazing hosts, and were so much fun to interact with in the mornings. The location was perfectly close to many great attractions, and offered plenty of amenities. Our room was a great size, and even had it's own kitchenette which was very convenient. And the free breakfast is a huge bonus! Would definitely stay here again.
