"Nous avions choisi cet hôtel pour 2 nuits afin d'effectuer dans les meilleures conditions la sublime mais difficile randonnée qui mène du plateau de Nida au sommet du Psiloritis. Pas vraiment le choix sur Anogia, village tout en longueur et sans charme comme cet hôtel pratique mais pas du tout chaleureux. C'est un assemblage de tout en mal fait, un bassin ignoble avec quatre oies criardes, une piscine et un spa ridicules, une taverne épouvantable etc. Seules choses qui sortent du lot: l'accueil...

Best to get google maps to bring you to Krousonas town center and then put in the property address. Google maps in Crete will have you go down goat paths and should not be trusted. "We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. "First of all, we stayed in early May when it was quiet. The (standard) room we stayed in was very good - spacious, clean, tasteful decor, good bed, dark and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the bar overlooking the beach also good. Otherwise there are a few things to note: The bathroom is small, compared with the room itself. The beach is overrun with sun beds, making it feel claustrophobic. There is a space at each end if you want to lay in the sand. The water is very clear and clean....

"The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years."
