"Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! ) "

"This hotel has had some bad reviews well to be honest I really don't understand why. The hotel is clean, the views are great, the pool is clean and the breakfast is ok ( we had b&b not half board). "I cannot recommend this place enough. I came with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and we got a room on the top floor that was brand new and had a spectacular view with the town of Skiathos being visible and also the mountain side. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially both Katarina’s and Kelly, who are the ladies you encounter the most. Every surface seemed to be cleaned daily so the whole place looked spotless and new. They even mop the floors outside....
