"This is by far the BEST oceanfront stay I have ever had! It was beautiful, with the ocean literally being steps away. We could hear the water rushing up to the rocks at night. The buildings are a bit dated, and ours smelled very strongly of someone smoking something... but it was a fantastic stay and I would honestly return to this area JUST to stay here! "

"Wonderful hotel and staff! The hotel was super clean and it was clear it was recently renovated. Generous size bedroom and bathroom, with a balcony overlooking the beach. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Both front desk members I spoke with were super friendly and attentive and offered suggestions of things to do/places to eat at in the area. The lobby was fully stocked with refreshments, snacks, and toiletries. Everything was free, I couldn't believe it. Breakfast was small (egg frittata, pastries, and fruit) but was made fresh, not the fake eggs that is typical of hotel buffets. I travel for one week every month for work and have stayed at lots of hotels. Hotel Maria was one of the best hotels I stayed at for its location, price, cleanliness, and staff. "

"Room was not appealing. Looked like it was still being renovated. Lack of lighting and a place to put clothes. TV was not always work do to poor signal. and no were to sit to watch. There was a bed as you walk in to the main room which lacked a cover and a large round table with chairs.Also door only had one very poor lock. Room was definitely over priced."
