"This is a traditional stay, meaning you will sleep on a thin mattress on top of tatami mats on the floor. I’m 40 and it was okay for a couple of nights. I didn’t mind. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also keep in mind that the showers are shared, no individual stalls. There are great Cafes and restaurants around"

Our room was upgraded and we had a corner suite of 3 large rooms overlooking the mountains and the river. I was astonished how luxurious the rooms and food are. Each night we had an 8 course meal, each morning a huge breakfast. Honestly, it was too much food - that’s the only complaint I have!
