"We paid for an ocean view room in sorento and got placed infront of a brick wall. So they moved us, to less of a room in the main tower but it had ocean view so I let it be. No fridge in the room anymore, and the soap smells god awful. Then, parking and valet only was $76 a day. Nowhere did it say that when we booked. The actual valet service was really friendly, so that was a plus. There was a nice resistant selection. The pool was nice, but every chair was taken pretty much 24/7 and the pool was closed by 6/6:30. There was also no convenience store. My husband was having a weird allergic reaction after getting in the hot tub, which was gross in itself, then had no convenience store to buy any Benadryl or anything. No store for sunscreen, razors, medication, nothing. We tried to go to the beach one day also and the beach was disgusting. They don’t rake so it smelled awful with layers of seaweed and ocean remnants everywhere. Overall, will probably never come back here again. Way too overpriced for what you actually get. "
"The elevator did not work. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs
The rooms we extremely worn down. The hallway carpets were filthy. Not a family friendly environment. "
"My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Miami at the Sherry Frontenac. We booked a deluxe oceanfront room with a balcony, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room was clean, fresh-smelling, and well maintained, and the staff was warm, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout our stay.
While the hallways are a bit dated and could use new carpeting, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. This isn’t a brand-new hotel—it was built in 1947—and its vintage charm is part of what makes it special.
Parking was easy and affordable. We parked two blocks away at O’Connell Boathouse for just $5 a day using the ParkMobile app, which was incredibly convenient.
Overall, our stay was absolutely worth the money, and we had a fantastic time. The breakfast was decent, and there’s a boardwalk just beyond the property that’s perfect for a stroll.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was the few cats around the property—I adored them and even brought a little treat for them each day. I also noticed some guests complaining about not receiving fresh towels daily, but I simply hung mine up to reuse, just like I do at home.
All in all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would gladly return."
"The room wasn’t as clean as it was the last time I stayed. When we moved a chair, we found a used bandage with gauze underneath. There was makeup smeared on the bathroom light switch. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly. It would run continuously until we realized we had to shut it off. I believe that the thermostat was faulty. Also, we couldn’t use the room phone to call the lobby desk. One of the mattresses was lumpy and uncomfortable. Since we were only there for 2 nights, we put up with everything. The staff was very friendly. There isn’t much of a kitchen. There was a keurig, tea bags, coffee pods and bottled water. Instead of a mini fridge, we had a cooler that was supposed to keep the temperature at 40 degrees but it didn’t. We put bags of ice in the cooler to keep our water cool. Also, their food and drink items are grossly overpriced. Needless to say, I don’t recommend using this hotel."
"The room was small and lacked counter space and the decor was substandard. The staff was fabulous. Kind and very helpful. The pool was lovely and the staff there wonderful. The breakfast that was included was poor and I do not know why you would not serve the guests that are staying at the hotel excellent coffee. The breakfast had terrible coffee and no choice and it was not up to par. "
