"Unassuming hotel on a side street. We walked from train station to hotel with luggage, over bumpy roads & narrow sidewalks, about 20min, at night. It was difficult to determine where the building was without Google maps. May not appeal to everyone but it had a small town European feel (tiny little elevator).The rooms we had were spacious & newly renovated. Spent 2 nights, easily walked to cruise ship port (20min). Hotel offered luggage storage so we could explore the morning b4 our cruise....

"Wonderfully spacious suite with 2 separate bedrooms and a large sitting area in main bedroom. Fantastic views from our suite ( Salute) of Salute church and Guggenheim just opposite. Quiet square but 10 minutes wark to St Marks. Right by Accademia bridge to cross Grand Canal"

I also enjoyed chatting to the lady in charge in French, as my Italian is virtually non-existent and it turned out we were both ex-teachers of French. She was very helpful with potential access problems and we never found ourselves locked out!"
