"It was so clean and bright inside! It made me feel happy even though it was rainy outside and a bit gloomy. Loved the attached restaurant with the amazing pizza! I walked just 13 minutes to get to downtown Manteo and that was a lovely walk. Close to sights like the aquarium and Festival Park. Staff was super helpful too!"

"Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of. We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. "I just wish the AC worked a little better"

"The stairs and deck going over the sand dune are a mess. The handicap ramp has at least six inches of sand on the turns and the stairs down to the beach are almost totally covered with sand. The deck at the top has two orange cones because there is a hole in the deck. It is Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer so I would think out door maintenance would be much better than it was. Our deck definitely needed the railings and ceiling sanded and painted. "I have stayed here many times in the past and always enjoyed the experience. However, this past trip, we returned from an all day offshore fishing trip to find our room door wide open. Unsettling to say the least (fortunately nothing was missing from the room). "The location of this hotel is truly its biggest strength. About a block from the beach, with easy parking and one of the best hidden features they barely advertise: a dedicated pedestrian crossing and Marriott-managed boardwalk directly to the beach.
