La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Bush IAH South

"Everything was okay. Breakfast was good and the place was quiet. The rooms were well insulated because we never heard our neighbors. There were a few less- than- pleasant aspects. We had the suite but it was dirty on the walls like little kids had been there before us and spilled juice on the walls. There was a large juice stain on the carpeted area. There were pieces of pizza crust and empty water bottles under the sofa bed. Then the window shade didn't work and wouldn't close down. When I told the front desk staff about all of this they asked if I wanted a new room since the maintenance person was out and the cleaning ladies were busy. My husband was able to fix it so we stayed. I cleaned the juice stained walls and the floors and removed the pizza and water bottles because I didn't feel like moving after a long day of travel. My only suggestion is that the cleaning staff do a more thorough check when cleaning. Please turn on all the lights to see the walls and open the sofa bed to check it. This was pretty gross. But beyond that first day, all else was fine!"
Ramada by Wyndham Houston Intercontinental Airport East

"This is classic unique hotel with character. From the massive front foyer with crystal chandeliers and artwork. There are many locations for private conversations in the central foyer and meeting areas near the pool ( inside and outside)
However, the furniture, in front foyer mainly, is showing signs of wear. A fresh update in plush furniture would make the room more welcoming and comfortable.
The restaurant is available for breakfast buffet and dinner ( menus) for a cost. The meal items are reasonable and satisfying.
The pool is a large rectangular design with I think an 8 or 9 foot jump ( not dive ) in end.
Parking is just adequate as it shares space with Tesla charging stations on site.
Still, the overall charm of the design and layout of this gem of a hotel with close proximity to Bush Airport and daily shuttle included is a fair deal /rate for most travelers."
