So disappointed from the minute I checked in My itinerary said check in was 3:00 pm and when I arrived I was told 4:00 pm then next on to amenities the pool was empty and told it’s been closed for a long time. "Front desk staff was nice. Room seemed clean, bathroom was updated. Housekeeping opened the hotel door with their key after one knock, which was unsettling. Parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. "

"Wonderful stay at The Avista. It was convenient to have indoor and outdoor pools and Hot tubs. We used the outdoor and indoor hot tubs and frequented the poolside bars. Our unit was well maintained and clean. The grounds and outdoor amenities were clean. I would advise a refresh of the fitness center. There was also an indoor bar/lounge but it was really quiet. Great to be on the beach. Great location close to Main Street where dining and bars are. We went in early May."

"A small, nicely run hotel. We had a room with a balcony looking out over the ocean and left our door open at night so we could hear the ocean. Lovely! Room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that because the property is an older one, I could hear my neighbors next door. They had loud kids!!! That said, they were quiet by 11:00 pm. "We we unable to stay at the property. When we arrived at the apartment, we found that it was in disgusting shape. We found black hairs all in the bed, The refrigerator and freezer were nasty with brown stuff all inside, the lamps were completely rusted, paint on the walls were missing and the dining table was nasty and not at all clean. "I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this hotel and ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. The location was one of the best parts — it’s way up in North Myrtle Beach, so you’re away from all the crowded, hectic tourist traffic and hustle of the main strip. "I chose the wrong room and was in the BW annex A room king bed. Ref microwave Smelled musty. Was told since I went through a third party they could not changed anything. They told me there were no ocean front or views available. Which was not true Didn’t eat breakfast cause it is in the main building. Not sure if I would stay there again. Could have got something cheaper across the street If you stay there make sure you don’t get stuck in the annex"

"Staff was friendly at check in. Went to our room and the toilet wouldn’t flush,went back to the desk to report the problem and he immediately gave us the room next door. Shower curtain has mold spots but everything else was good."

"This property was extremely nice, high-end upgrades as well and jt definitely felt like home. The only negative was we were supposed to have a King bed and it was clearly two smaller beds put together. The "crease" in the middle was uncomfortable and definitely not what was advertised."
