Property is lovely - so nicely renovated. Staff were friendly. Bar food and drinks were great too. Room needs to have a bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bit odd having to go down the hall and use shared facilities for this. We also didnt seem to have control of our aircon. First night it wouldnt work. Someone popped in to have a look, got it going… then 9pm it shut itself off again…

At first we weren’t sure we were in the right place as maps takes you to the “shop front” of the property but staff were super helpful in explaining where parking was and how to access everything. The two restaurant options on site are handy and the rooms look newly renovated. Highly recommend this stay.

Really enjoyed staying here while we attended a wedding at Buckland Estate. Called up before to organise a cot for my daughter and they upgraded me for free because the room i chose was too small for the cot. Excellent hotel, clean and beautifully renovated and presented.

We really enjoyed our stay here in the Homestead room. The king bed and 2 singles were perfect for our family and we enjoyed the history and refurbished hotel. There was a bit of noise from the best below at once point but nothing that interfered. Was great to have Dome as a dinner option connected to the hotel.

It was lovely staying in an old building that had been totally renovated to high boutiques standards,yet kept the charm of yesteryear (stained glass windows, rockwork, the verandah etc) Check in was seamless, staff all helpful and polite. Ate in the Dome after 5 option and it was excellent.

We booked into the Farmers Home Hotel with ease. Our room was well appointed with lots of little “extras”. We enjoyed a couple of beautifully presented drinks at the Temperance Bar and decided to stay for something to eat. The share plates we ordered were delicious. We had an early start the next morning and found checking out a breeze. Thanks for your hospitality Farmers Home Hotel, your staff are delightful.
