"What I enjoyed in Tupelo was the lovely historic downtown district. Plenty of places to eat & drink on Main Street, quaint shops around the corners of every block off the Main. At night it’s softly illuminated with lights on every building. You can’t miss downtown.
Now. As for my stay at Red Roof Inn………
• I found the floors in my room dirty. They needed to be swept & mopped.
• The phone in the room was nonfunctional despite the premise of free calls including long distance calling.
• The tv was not working properly. Not only was the cable network out of service, the local stations were bad. I reported it & the lady tried to fix it, NOT. Programs popped on & off every 3-4 minutes. I reported it again when I departed & was told, “We’re always having problems.” Well why wasn’t I told about it? At least I’d have known & not been disappointed & frustrated!
• The “free breakfast” benefit that they offered was out of yogurt 3 of the 4 days I stayed, always low on butter for waffles & no protein for breakfast. LOTS of hot coffee!😉
• Sorry to say, folks, I cannot report on the gym facilities. Wish I could have found it. I got no directions upon my arrival as to where the amenities were after waiting 13 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. When they did, there was no warm welcome or pleasantry but immediately greeted with a request for my charge card to pay for my stay prior to spending a single moment in any room!
GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT AT RED ROOF INN
